What kind of statement do you like to make when you present yourself to the world? We are all many personalities (and sometimes many nationalities) rolled into one unique individual, and I think that is so wonderful.
I enjoy a dramatic look, especially with my eye makeup. I always have. I suppose it’s because I have very dark eyes. But I do love my eyeliner.
It’s been a little while since I put on a full face of makeup, and it felt really good! I’ve not been anywhere in a while to present any type of statement about me, but with the arrival of my new Shubra Statement Necklace from Jarlia by Jolina in London (an anniversary present), it gave me a good excuse to get dressed up for a photo shoot.
Jolina designs gorgeous African Egyptian jewelries and when I saw this necklace I immediately fell in love. I had been looking for something special to celebrate recently learning of my African ancestry, and this was definitely it for me. It is so gorgeous (dramatic, as I love), and does make a beautiful statement about me.
I had a lot of fun getting all my Avon makeup out again and getting dolled up. I use Avon exclusively for all my skincare and makeup, and I really love it. I am a youthful 55, and I greatly appreciate that Avon helps keep my skin looking great every day, no matter if I am wearing full makeup or going au naturale.

Magix Dust Finishing Powder – I LOVE this stuff! It’s brand new. You use a large powder brush and sweep this all over your face for a natural glow. It’s made with mineral powder like pearls and rubies. I received a compliment the other day that my skin looked glowing. I had used this!
Oh What Fun Mega Makeup Palette – Can you believe this is still available? This is the really cool makeup palette from Christmas time. I used a pretty pink blush from this collection as well as a shimmery light pink and gray eyeshadow. This is on final sale for $25.00. It’s full of all kinds of eyeshadow colors, blushes, lip balms, and a couple of highlighters. It also has makeup brushes. You really should snag one while it’s still there. This is amazing.
