I thought I’d share my very favorite face moisturizer with you all today (again). I just received my 4th jar, so I took some pics before I dove into it, to show you how awesome it is, from the jar, and how it arrives, to the look of the formula, well, actually 2 formulas that you stir together. Yeah, not to mention how awesome it makes my skin look and feel.
So here we go! My very favorite face moisturizer – ever – The Therapy Oil Blending Cream from Avon x The Face Shop.
As you can see, it arrives very nicely boxed. The jar is really pretty. I love the Old World French/European look to it (Which, this is derived from a 200 year old recipe. How cool is that?), and it has it’s own little stirring spatula.
When you first open the jar you’ll find this nice little seal with a cute heart pull-up.
And look what awaits you under the seal.
How beautiful and luxurious is that? You get 2 layers of awesomeness.
The unique handmade blending formula has a bottom layer that boasts a highly-concentrated, rich moisture cream and a top layer consisting of fresh, natural essential oils.
Hand-blended essential oils are derived from a 200-year-old formulation of flowers, leaves and fruits to keep skin feeling nourished and looking younger.
KEY INGREDIENTS
• Sandalwood – Anti-aging; Used as a medicinal plant because of its anti-aging and rejuvenation properties.
• Avocado – Hydrating; Excellent for creating a long-lasting moisture barrier on skin and preventing moisture loss.
• Palmarosa – Nourishing; Delivers vitality and elasticity. Especially effective for treating and regenerating skin that’s damaged from the sun.
All you have to do is take the cute little stirring spatula and stir the formulas together. This only has to be done one time, and it will stay blended.
And there you go! This is so awesome. My skin drinks it up very quickly. There is no oiliness. The oil layer is more like a gel to me, and then combined with the rich cream, it’s just amazing. This cream is not dense or heavy. It’s very lightweight and does not leave any oily residue upon my face. Just makes my skin feel really nice and moisturized. I can apply makeup after putting this on, and I always apply it in the evening to a clean face (I always cleanse with Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser. This is an amazing product as well. I’m sure you’ve seen my blog posts about this one. I see it’s back on a Wait List, so be sure to get on it. This is a best seller and sells out frequently.). I use The Therapy on my neck and chest area too. I use upward strokes on my neck up to my jawline and continue an upward motion. It’s best to apply skin moisturizers the way you want your skin to continue going – up! I also use this around my eye area as well and it does great.
I love that this product is made using natural ingredients. As I’ve said before, that is a huge plus with me. I have very sensitive skin, and it really loves and responds to natural ingredients the best. This face moisturizer has been very gentle for my skin and has become one of my best friends. As soon as I see the jar begin to get low, I order some more asap.
The list price for The Therapy is $45.00, but you know you get a discount when you shop my Avon store, so for you it is $36.00. One jar will last me a little over a month, and I use it everyday for my face, neck, and chest, so that’s really a great price. I use it sparingly, as to me it is precious oils, so I dot in on all over here and there and then rub into my skin. If I need more, I just get a little dab more.
I sometimes follow this up with Green Goddess Facial Oil. This is also an amazing product made with CBD and other natural oils. It is great if I have some sensitive areas with any redness or blotchiness. I just dab it on where needed. It is very soothing to my skin.
