I’m very excited to be back with you on this very rainy Monday here in Texas to chat about Avon’s new Luxury Skin Care Line, Mission Luxereve.
The ingredients in this new luxury skin care line are quite different than anything I’ve ever heard of, but I can tell you that the use of natural ingredients caught my ear for sure.
The two main ingredients are Cytoferm and Wineferm. Don’t leave me yet…. I’ve tried this, and it blew me away.
WHAT MISSION LUXEREVE IS MADE OF
Mission Luxereve formulas are made with special fermentation technologies derived from natural ingredients. Fermentation breaks down molecules into smaller sizes, so skin can more easily absorb the beneficial ingredients. The fermented ingredients that comprise each formula are cytoferm and wineferm.
Cytoferm combines 86 medicinal plants, harvested over four seasons for peak potency and fermented for another year to achieve maximum efficacy and help promote the look of smooth, radiant skin. Wineferm, or wine extract from naturally fermented grapes, has a higher content of polyphenols than natural grapes and is rich in antioxidants to keep skin looking healthy.
Fermented medicinal plants and wine for skin care, hmm? Well, let’s give this a try. And I did, and I absolutely fell in love. Oh my goodness… firstly, with it being made from fermented plants, how will this look and smell? Well, both the Serum and Cream that I tried were, well, nice and creamy. And for the aroma, very light and pretty. The Serum goes on first. My first thoughts about a Serum, was that it would be more liquidy, but it is a nice cream. It goes onto the skin quite nicely, then follow up with the Cream. The Cream is even richer than the Serum, but it also goes onto the skin very nicely, and the combo of the two is just about heaven. When I have them both applied, my skin has kind of a warmth feel to it. Not like hot flash warmth, it’s a pleasant, almost reassuring warmth that it is pampering my skin. I really love the feel of this combo upon my skin.
And does it work? This is made to help promote the look of smooth, firm, radiant skin, for the most youthful looking skin ever. Well, I can tell you that when both the Serum and Cream are applied to my skin, my face has a beautiful glow about it. Not greasy, just glowy. I compared the glow of my skin when wearing the Mission Luxereve to when wearing one of my other skin lotions, and there is most definitely a big difference. My skin looks radiant and dewy and very nourished when using the Mission Luxereve Serum and Cream combo.
After 3 days of use, I could definitely tell a difference in the feel of my skin. I was so impressed. It felt so smooth and soft, and just wonderful.
I was using samples that Avon had sent me in my Ambassadorship Package. I have since ordered more, and have ordered the Mission Luxereve Essence, and Eye Cream. I am so looking forward to trying these in combo with the Serum and Cream and see how it goes.

I, again, was truly amazed. I didn’t know what to expect going in except that I do trust Avon skin care products and know that they are a leader in the field, so if they say this is extra luxurious and unparalleled, then I was honored to give it a try. So glad I did. I believe I am hooked. After one week of using the Serum and Cream, I am craving more. The look and feel of my skin was definitely improved in just a week’s time, so yeah, I definitely recommend this Avon luxury skin care product (line).
It is a total luxury experience. Very gentle (and natural), with a gentle warmth of comfort upon my skin.
I hope you’ll give these wonderful formulations a try for yourself. If you’ve tried everything, or do not like the ingredients in some, or they may be too irritating for your skin (I have very sensitive skin too), then you’ll most likely fall in love with this indulgently pampering and beautifying line.

Mission Luxereve does seem to be a superior skin care line, however my skin is on the oily side and even at 68 I still get milia, clogged pores, and the occasional pimple. It is never fully absorbed into my skin. Perhaps they will expand the line to accommodate different skin types.
The one thing I do not like is how it smells! And the smell does not seem to fade: it lingers longer than any perfume or cologne I use! And to me it smells like Lysol! It also brings back childhood memories of being at gatherings (weddings and funerals) with older women relatives and their friends. The air would be filled with the scent of their stale perfume. Horrible!
If this skin care line didn’t smell so awful and they had products to address my skin problems, I would gladly spend the money for it. But as it is now, even though it basically leaves my skin feeling soft and nicely textured, I cannot commit to using it.

If you are experiencing skin care issues that this does not address, Avon has other wonderful skin care products that perhaps can work fabulously for you.
