Hey everyone! Are you ready to ring in 2022? I know I am! I’m very excited for this coming New Year and all the possibilities it holds.

I’ve always enjoyed getting dressed up for a New Year’s party, and for this year’s look, I decided on black and gold, so to compliment this look I went with spicy eyeshadow tones, using 2 of Avon’s newest eyeshadow palettes in Minx and Maven, and a pretty (I call it a plum color, but it’s name is Wild Rose) lipstick shade to tie it all together.

The eyeshadow shades in Minx and Maven remind me of cinnamon, cinnamon sugar and nutmeg tones. These were fun to mix and match, using both satin and shimmery textures. These Glimmer Eyeshadow palettes glide on so nicely and blend together very well. I sometimes use my fingertip to apply the light shimmery shades for a nice final highlight to my eyelids. I did that this time using the lighter cinnamon shimmer shade in the Minx palette (The Minx palette is the one pictured on the right.). It adds a nice festive touch.

My lipstick choice was Avon’s Glimmer Satin Lipstick in the shade of Wild Rose. You receive a free package of Avon’s Makeup Remover Wipes right now with the purchase of 2 Glimmer products. That’s awesome. I just saw it now on both the eyeshadow and lipstick pages, so yay!

I also used my new favorite eyeliner, Avon’s fmg Cashmere 24HR Cream Eyeliner, in Pitch Black. You know I love the drama. 🙂 And my very favorite mascara, Love at 1st Lash.

Now I’m ready to go party! Woo hoo!

And I did mention hair goals for the New Year, didn’t I? I’ve decided to grow out my pixie cut this year and try something different. I still love wearing short hair, but I am aiming for something just a little longer on top. You will not believe who’s image popped in my head when I was thinking of growing out my hair. I’m 3 months into the grow-out, so you’ll be seeing my hair in different stages of growth.

2 products that I’m using are helping me tremendously during this grow-out period, and they will most likely be key in enjoying my hair longer on top. Avon’s Elastine PropoliThera Hair Serum and Volume Mist.

These have both been great game-changers for me. My hair has gotten more and more fine over the years, plus with my natural grays/silvers, they change the texture of my hair as well, so growing my hair out really wasn’t an option till I began using these wonderful hair products.

Firstly, the Hair Oil Serum. This is made with beeswax, honey, and royal jelly. It is formulated to bring new life and shine to your hair. And it really does. When I get out of the shower and towel dry my hair, the top of my hair is automatically dry looking, and I cannot wait to apply this. It brings new life to my hair, just as Avon describes it. It helps to moisturize, strengthen, protect, and smooth my hair. If you have gray or silver hair like me, then you know that around the sideburn area our hair tends to fuzz up, and this really helps diminish that. So wonderful!

After I apply the serum (oh, and a little tiny dab of the serum goes a long way), I then spray in the Volume Spray, especially to the front and top of my hair, and rub/distribute that in. This is made to nourish thin, dry hair. It’s made with honey, propolis extract, royal jelly, plus hydrolized collagen to infuse hair with moisture for lustrous volume. And that’s definitely what I need – volume. And that’s what it gives me – volume. It is not heavy or sticky in the least. I cannot even tell that it’s there till I dry my hair, and my hair is full and feeling awesome.

I cannot speak highly enough of these 2 wonders, except that they are total game-changers for me in my hair enjoyment and being able to now be brave to try a longer style, so yay! I am going to be trying the shampoos as well. There are 2 types of shampoo/conditioner combos and I want to try each. There is a repair shampoo and conditioner and a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I am on the wait list for the volumizing duo and have the repair duo on their way to me now. I’ll definitely let you know how I enjoy each.

You know, as you’re going out during this holiday season, there’s bound to be some sneezing or nose-blowing going on. I know.. that’s not a very glamorous subject to speak about, but hey, it happens to all of us, and this did happen to me as I was getting ready. I had just applied my makeup, and yep, a sneezing fit hit. With our Texas temperatures roller-coasting from the 80’s to the 40’s and back and forth, my sinuses do not know what’s up most of the time. 🙂 But anyway, this had me reaching for my Cashmere Compact Powder Foundation for a much needed red nose touch-up. This works so well since it is both a foundation and a powder. Just a quick glide over and it covers right back up with no need for extra powder, so this is a handy little compact to take out with you for any touch-ups, plus if you’re traveling it is an all-in-one easy full coverage foundation makeup. I love this compact so much. I use this (dry) with the liquid formulation of this same line for a great flawless finish, and I also use it alone (with a dampened sponge) for a quick and easy full coverage application. It is not cakey in the least. It is like magic to me.

It’s so pretty with all the sparkling accents! This is a great statement piece that I will most likely continue to wear year-round. It is 16 3/4″ in length, with a 3 1/2″ extender. I used the extender to wear this with my crushed velvet shirt with round neck-line. It worked perfectly, and really dressed it up.

My New Avon Website is now Live!

Avon Grand Opening Party Celebration

Avon Lipstick Samples are Back!

Are you guys as ga-ga over Avon Lipstick Samples as much as I am? Nothing speaks iconic Avon to me like those cute little lipsticks.

Do you know, Avon Lipstick Samples are what lead me back home to Avon? Sure did! I was on a quest to purchase some and finally decided to rejoin Avon so that I could get them for myself. 🙂 So happy they did, I am having the time of my life and even more in love with Avon and Avon beauty products than ever before.

But, I digress, we’re talking Avon Lipstick Samples. Since Avon has undergone a major makeover themselves, which includes a lot of their product lines, their lipsticks also underwent a major makeover and the name of their main lipstick line changed to fmg (stands for Fashion – Makeup – Glam) Glimmer Satin Lipstick. With that change, their Lipstick Samples went, and I was sad, but I held hope that they may one day return in their new glory, and that day is now.

I was perusing my Avon Campaign 1 What’s New Book and in the Samples Section, there they were — New! fmg Glimmer Satin Lipstick Sample Pack. They are arriving in a pack of 10 little miniature lipstick tubes all in different shades to try. I love to take these little beauties along with me in my purse. They are perfect for touch-ups while out on the town. They’re also great to try out different shades without having to commit to a full-sized tube up front.

I do not know if Avon will have these up for sale on our new sites or not. These are usually only available to Representatives to purchase, but I have seen them for sale on my site before, so that’s not totally ruled out. Avon is getting ready to launch a whole new website experience for us all. We’ve been gearing up for this change for a while now, so it’s very exciting to know that the new site will be live on December 9th.

You will still find me at YourAvon.com/MyBeauty, so that will remain the same. The only anticipated hiccup in this change over is that my Avon store will be down from this coming Monday, December 6th till the launch on Thursday, December 9th (2021).
