For this segment, Part 3, I will show you what I use to give my face a radiantly youthful glow. And, since all of Avon’s makeup will be hugely discounted (up to 50% off) in their Annual Makeup Sale (C.22, beginning Sept. 29th), I thought I’d show you all the products I use to complete my look.

The first thing I always do after applying my foundation, is the brows.

Avon’s new Tattoo Station Proof Brow Pencil is my favorite go-to, must-have pencil for my eyebrows. It goes on so easily and has a light touch. It is a cream-to-powder pencil so it does not create harsh pencil lines. You can see how it beautifully fills in my brows. I am always truly amazed at the transformation I can easily and quickly achieve using this Tattoo Station Brow Pencil. And bonus, it’s waterproof. I was at my hair stylist just a while back and she accidently splashed a little water on my forehead area. I was momentarily concerned about my brows washing off – haha!, but alas, they were just fine. So, yeah, waterproof, thank goodness. This brow pencil is listed for $7.00 in my Avon store. Original price is $10.00 (C.22 (Sept. 29th) sale price will be $5.59). There are 6 shades to choose from. My shade is Dark Gray. Love it! Okay, next, we’re ready to apply eyeshadow and lipstick.

You can see that I love a dramatic eye, so I’m definitely loving Avon’s new Glimmer Eyeshadow Quads. I own 4 of them now. The one I’m demonstrating for this look is called Vixen. It has a glimmery silver, a couple of glimmery steel grays, and a dark gray. I did a demo of this eyeshadow palette just a while back using mainly the bluish-gray tones, but this time I only used the silver and dark gray, so I’ve been able to achieve 2 different eyeshadow looks from this one palette already. Earlier this week I used the Vixen palette plus a shimmery gold from the Goddess palette for this Fall look. Navy is on trend for Fall this year. So excited for that.

And for my lipstick, I’m wearing Avon’s Glimmer Satin Lipstick in Hibiscus. This lipstick is so awesome. It’s light and creamy, and also has great coverage and vibrant colors. For my Hocus Pocus look I’m wearing the shade Wildrose.

And now the finishing touches to my Flawless Skin Makeup Look.

To complete my makeup look and give my face a youthful radiant glow, I’ve been using Avon’s True Love Multi Palette. There are 4 gorgeous shimmery shades in this palette. I just blend them together and sweep across my cheeks, forehead and jawline areas. This palette is now on final sale for $16.00, original price was $32.00. If you happen to miss this particular palette, Avon now has fmg Color of Love Glow Beads Illuminating Powder that can be used for a glowing complexion as well. And for the piece de resistance and my secret weapon for a glowing flawless complexion – Magix Dust Finishing Powder. I cannot brag enough about this wonderful wonder powder. It’s made from crushed minerals. It’s very light, it’s actually light diffusing, it blurs pores and fine lines, and helps control shine. This gives my face an overall glow. I receive a lot of compliments about my skin, and you see how it begins. It’s not easy for me to show myself without makeup, but I believe the pictures can show you much more than I can just simply tell you.

I was just talking with my sister last evening about getting my Makeup Room spruced up and ready for more in-depth photography, and told her, “You know, I’m about to turn 56 and I’m setting up to do even more makeup photography and blogging.” That’s really amazing. It just dawned on me – my age. I am very thankful that at 55 I’m still enjoying makeup and wanting to look my best – and to keep learning new things in the makeup field. It’s never to early or too late to celebrate our beauty, to appreciate it, and to work to preserve and highlight what we’ve got. I so admire those that are even more mature than I, and seeing them still shining in all their glory, and not giving up at any certain age on being the best that they can be, and that’s what I strive for as well, and to hopefully inspire others along the way.

Celebrating Beauty Over 50!

I love the phrase Over 50 and Fabulous! It’s such a wonderful milestone in a woman’s life I believe. To reach the age of 50 (and beyond), and feel awesome, and feel like you’re still looking pretty awesome too. We’ve raised our families and are now on a new journey. It’s pretty spectacular.

I’ve partnered with a couple of my Avon Teammates to celebrate the fact that we are over 50 and pretty darn fabulous, and to say a huge Thank You to Avon for being part of the beauty in our lives, inside and out.

I’d like to introduce you to these stunning ladies. First is one of my Avon Mentors, Keely Johnson.

Keely is a very youthful 57 yrs old and has been using Avon skin care for about 15 yrs now.

Trying on Makeup with Avon’s new Makeover Tool

Hey! Look who had some fun today!

It’s me – trying on makeup using the new Makeover Tool from Avon.

This was really cool, and really fun.

I only wore base makeup to do this so that I could see the different lipstick and eyeshadow colors on my face.

Here’s a close-up for you to see the lipstick really good.

This was all live and interactive. I thought I would need to take a pic and upload it, but it was live video, real time. Look how well the lipstick sits right on my lips. You can even see the shimmer. This was the Glimmerkiss Liquid Lipstick, and you can see how the real product is going to look when you wear it – gloss and glimmer and all. So awesome!

Now I’m trying on some Glimmershadow in Silver. I thought perhaps I may be too fair for the Silver to show up, but hey, I think I really like it!

**Trying on Makeup Virtually with Avon’s New Makeover Tool**

The Makeover Tool will tell you the name of the shade(s) you’re trying on. And see, I have no lipstick on – the pictures with me with lipstick are all virtual reality, and it looks so real. Here’s a lipstick pic with a more pink tone:

I really like the brighter reds and pinks on me. I tried on all kinds of colors. This was so fun. After seeing my pics, my husband really liked the sparkly Ruby Glimmerkiss Liquid Lipstick on me. I did too.

It’s really cool when you visit the Virtual Makeover Page – You can find it Here. You click on a product that you’d like to try. Then you click Try It On. You will need to give permission for it to take pics on your phone or computer.

Once you see yourself on the live video screen, you can click on the different colors you’d like to try, one at a time. Each color will appear where it’s supposed to – on your eyes or lips or face (if you’re trying foundation tones). Give it a moment to appear and then you’ll see a little camera icon – You can click on that to take your picture with that particular shade or color on. It will show you a countdown clock 3-2-1 and then take your photo. You then click to download the picture onto your phone or computer. This works from both your phone and computer cameras. I used my phone outside as you can see. The lighting was great outdoors for this.

Perks of the Trade

Hello everyone! Hope you’ve been enjoying the beginning of your new week.

And speaking of new beginnings… If you’ve been following my blog here, you’ll know about New Avon and all the anticipated and very exciting changes going on right now.

Every day just about, it seems that I’m surprised with happy news. My favorite kind of news! Hooray! That makes life so fun, hey?

The latest news I received was about Avon’s new Perks for Representatives. It is so fabulous. There are special savings on just about everything under the sun. There’s so much to take in. We used to have what was called Avon Advantage. Well, now in our back offices, we can click on Avon Advantage and it takes us to a whole new world of Avon Perks. There are discounts on travel, tickets, entertainment, electronics, automotive (Reps even get a discount on purchasing a new vehicle – like over $3,000.00 off sticker price – Woo!), cell phones, apparel, health and wellness, food, and local discounts.

You are also still eligible for Health Insurance through ICBA, and I wanted to let you know that open enrollment for the Third Quarter will be expiring on September 30th. There are options starting as low as $32.51 a month and they offer dental too. My husband and I are now covered through ICBA. There were no medical questions to answer. I just simply filled out our info, sent in our first payment, and we are now both covered. Easy-peasy.

If you’ve been thinking about a new career, or even a part-time gig and love all things beauty, now is the perfect time to take the leap and join the Avon Nation. It is only a $30.00 start-up investment to begin your dream glam gig. You do not have to purchase an inventory – that is a huge bonus. You receive a free website with your own url (url is free too), Avon pays all of your State sales taxes for you (huge, huge bonus), and you will be doing something that you absolutely love – setting your own hours, working from where ever you want to, whenever you want.

I will share with you some of my personal perks being an Avon Rep that I love. I love that Avon pays me in 2 days for all orders that I receive online. I do not have to wait till the end of a Campaign and collect the monies myself in order to be paid. Avon direct deposits my earnings directly into my bank account (no fees involved) on every order that I receive. I love that my business expenses selling Avon include purchasing makeup to try and also to demo to my friends on Social Media (and in person), candles to try and blog about to my friends here on jfaysbeauty.blog, new perfumes to try and blog about, newly released products to try and blog about, and so on – you get the idea! I love that I can set my own hours, work from my home office and that I have goodie bags that I can hand out in person so that people can look through all the fabulous products in the little brochures (they’re so fun to browse through), and that I have access to affordable samples that people can enjoy. Those samples are invaluable to gaining new customers. I love them myself!

I love Avon Social – it is a game changer when it comes to selling online and especially for posting on Social Media. If you love posting on Social Media, being an influencer, and you love makeup and fashion and goodies for your home – you are a perfect fit for this! And if you’re new to Social Media but still love makeup and fashion stuffs, not to worry, there’s Avon U — It is a fun and free training course to help us all learn more about Social Media, marketing, Avon products and more. And it’s free! There are series of videos that you can watch at your convenience.

I could talk all day actually about all that I love about being an Avon Rep. I have been a Representative for Avon before, and I loved it then, but I am really really loving it now. There’s no comparison. OH — and one of my very favorite things about being a Rep now, is that I can sell online, and not only sell online, but sell to anyone in the U.S. online. Not just in my neighborhood anymore, but anywhere in the U.S. — Can you say GAME CHANGER?!! Doing a happy dance!

Okay gang — I think you have a good idea now of all the goodness that Avon offers its Representatives. It really is a fabulous opportunity.

I will be back tomorrow for the launch of Campaign 21. The theme this time around is Street Smart. Skin Smart. And guess what? 3 new product launches! I just placed an order today and will be demo’ing 2 of these new products – rockin’ those business expenses, right? Haha!

I also wanted to give you a head’s up on the upcoming Campaign 22 that will be in 2 weeks. C22 is the launch Campaign for Avon’s new fragrance, Live Out Loud. I just ordered samples, and I am very excited to announce that my Sample Club Members will be receiving these samples + a brochure this time around. My Mattitude is Persistent, What’s Yours?
