One of my favorite benefits from the annual Avon Convention has to be the swag, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint.

I was gifted some really awesome Avon products, including some that are not yet released. I love being able to try Avon products early so I can tell you all about them.

Among the soon to be released products is the new Isa Knox LXNew Platinum Sculpting Collection.

And speaking of giving this new facial skincare line a try, Avon will be releasing an Isa Knox LXNEW Platinum Special Trial Kit with try it sizes of all 4 products in this line. It will be $25.00 for the 4 piece set. That’s so awesome! I’ll post about it once it is available. This 4 piece set will also include a Night Cream and Eye Cream, along with the Serum and Day Cream (that I received to give a try).

I also received the Avon 2021 Collectible Christmas Ornament. It is engraved with Avon 2021 on the back and comes in a really pretty red velvet bag. Very nice. This will be available when they begin releasing the Christmas items.

Another new beauty product about to release in C.20 is Avon’s new fmg Glimmer Lip Plumper.

You can see that I received an Avon Senses Peppermint Delight Bubble Bath. I’m not sure when these will be released, but there will be other products released with this aroma as well, for the holidays.

I received some really pretty blue drop earrings, Far Away Intense Perfume, Green Goddess CBD Facial Oil Samples, A Christmas themed lip balm, and a try-it size tube of Euthymol Toothpaste.

Avon Convention Swag + New Avon Products + Earn Extra Money for the Holidays

Would You Like Your Beauty and Fashion Purchases to be Business Expense Deductions?

Oh, I can see that smile on your face!

Hello! How are you doing today? You didn’t expect that could ever happen, did you? That your fun beauty and fashion purchases could actually be considered a business expense? Well, they certainly can be. And I’ll explain. (Disclaimer: I am not a CPA or financial expert. This is from my personal experience being a small business owner for many years. You may want to consult your own financial expert, and you can find information on what is considered advertising expense by doing an internet search.) Okay, let’s go!

Firstly, when you sign up as an Avon Representative, you are actually opening up your very own small business. You are representing and selling Avon’s product, but you are an Independent entity, so therefore, you are running your very own business just as you would any other small business. And in any business you have business expenses, one being advertising. And what do you purchase to advertise a beauty and fashion business? You purchase beauty and fashion items, right? Ta-Da!

This is one of my favorite perks. I always plan and strategize which products I want to advertise. I always choose products that interest me, that I would like to try so that I can demonstrate and/or review them as advertisement, thus, the product is then an advertising tool. Products can be purchased to use and demonstrate, and give out as samples (there are sample sizes available to purchase and hand out as well). You can advertise your Avon products in many ways; Use them and review them online or in person, take pictures of the products and post on your Social Media, Blog, YouTube, etc., hand out as samples, or you can record yourself using the products and post videos. Just any way that your imagination leads you. Avon also offers free courses in promotion in Avon U. (Perk!)

So, you can try new makeups, perfumes, wear new fashion jewelry, new fashion, shoes, try the latest and greatest skincare (Avon’s are famous!), home products, and now even new pet products, and they can be used for advertising, and then when you earn $600+ in commissions (which is then reported to the IRS), your advertising purchases can be deducted from that income as advertising expense. Be sure to keep a record of the products that you purchased and used for your advertising, and there you go!

Other advertising expense would be your business cards, website hosting fees, anything and everything that you use to promote your (Avon’s) product line.

So, as I always go around singing, “I’m having fun and making money!”, you can too.

Another great perk about having an Avon beauty business, is that Avon pays all your State sales tax for you. If you’ve ever been in business for yourself before then you’ll know that this is a HUGE perk. You do not have to collect sales tax and then pay it in either quarterly or yearly. I love this so much.

And yet another great perk is that you get paid right away with Avon. Avon does not hold your commission as you try to accumulate a certain amount of sales. You get paid right away for each and every sale you make. You can sign up for Direct Deposit, and then when your customer(s) purchase online in your Avon store (no minimum order amount either), you receive an automatic deposit into your account in just a few days after your customer is billed. Just enjoy that money flowing in from your advertising Avon’s wonderful products.

And if you prefer to sell in person rather than online, that’s cool too, or you can do both. But in order for your purchases to be allowed as an advertising expense, you do have to show or demonstrate that product in an advertising capacity intended to bring in more business.

Based on your Sales Achieved in your first 8 Campaigns you can earn a Stepping Stone Bonus, and a Milestone Bonus in conjunction with your regular Commission. That’s so awesome.

Until you reach Premier (achieving $5,000 in sales), you will earn 25% on all sales once your sales reach $40+. It is a cumulative amount, so that means that every sale does not have to be $40, but rather once sales accumulate to $40 and over (per Campaign) you receive 25% of all sales, and that includes what you purchase for yourself. So, yeah, you get your very own Avon goodies at a discount too! Once you reach Premier, you will automatically receive 30% commission on all sales. Then onward and upward from there, including Leadership if you desire.

And that’s one of the best perks of all — You can achieve what “you” desire. It just depends on if you’re wanting to work your new business as a full-time job, part-time job, or just for fun to get discounts on product for yourself. I love that I do not have to make and ship the product. I have a HUGE team of researchers, developers, a huge shipping department, and a marketing department, all there for me. Not mention free training.

Perks of the Trade

Hello everyone! Hope you’ve been enjoying the beginning of your new week.

And speaking of new beginnings… If you’ve been following my blog here, you’ll know about New Avon and all the anticipated and very exciting changes going on right now.

Every day just about, it seems that I’m surprised with happy news. My favorite kind of news! Hooray! That makes life so fun, hey?

The latest news I received was about Avon’s new Perks for Representatives. It is so fabulous. There are special savings on just about everything under the sun. There’s so much to take in. We used to have what was called Avon Advantage. Well, now in our back offices, we can click on Avon Advantage and it takes us to a whole new world of Avon Perks. There are discounts on travel, tickets, entertainment, electronics, automotive (Reps even get a discount on purchasing a new vehicle – like over $3,000.00 off sticker price – Woo!), cell phones, apparel, health and wellness, food, and local discounts.

You are also still eligible for Health Insurance through ICBA, and I wanted to let you know that open enrollment for the Third Quarter will be expiring on September 30th. There are options starting as low as $32.51 a month and they offer dental too. My husband and I are now covered through ICBA. There were no medical questions to answer. I just simply filled out our info, sent in our first payment, and we are now both covered. Easy-peasy.

If you’ve been thinking about a new career, or even a part-time gig and love all things beauty, now is the perfect time to take the leap and join the Avon Nation. I love that I can set my own hours, work from my home office and that I have goodie bags that I can hand out in person so that people can look through all the fabulous products in the little brochures (they’re so fun to browse through), and that I have access to affordable samples that people can enjoy. Those samples are invaluable to gaining new customers. I love them myself!

I love Avon Social – it is a game changer when it comes to selling online and especially for posting on Social Media. If you love posting on Social Media, being an influencer, and you love makeup and fashion and goodies for your home – you are a perfect fit for this! And if you’re new to Social Media but still love makeup and fashion stuffs, not to worry, there’s Avon U — It is a fun and free training course to help us all learn more about Social Media, marketing, Avon products and more. And it’s free! There are series of videos that you can watch at your convenience.

I could talk all day actually about all that I love about being an Avon Rep. I have been a Representative for Avon before, and I loved it then, but I am really really loving it now. There’s no comparison. OH — and one of my very favorite things about being a Rep now, is that I can sell online, and not only sell online, but sell to anyone in the U.S. online. Not just in my neighborhood anymore, but anywhere in the U.S. — Can you say GAME CHANGER?!! Doing a happy dance!

Okay gang — I think you have a good idea now of all the goodness that Avon offers its Representatives. It really is a fabulous opportunity.

I will be back tomorrow for the launch of Campaign 21. The theme this time around is Street Smart. Skin Smart. And guess what? 3 new product launches! I just placed an order today and will be demo’ing 2 of these new products – rockin’ those business expenses, right? Haha!

Affordable Health Insurance through Avon and ICBA

I wanted to share this valuable information with you today. I will be blogging to welcome in our new Campaign 15, but I had this on my mind and also received an email from Avon today regarding this matter, and there is an upcoming deadline, so here I am.

Avon offers affordable health insurance to its Representatives through ICBA (Independent Contractors Benefits Association, Inc.). There are several options to choose from including major medical, short term and limited medical plans, accident plus plans, and also dental and vision insurance. You choose which plan is best for you and your family and budget.
