Hey there! How are you today? I hope doing very well!

If you’ve been growing out your natural gray or silver hair like I have, then you definitely know what I am talking about. Silver and gray hair has a mind of it’s own, sometimes minute to minute. But there is help, thank goodness!

I use the Biosilk Silk Therapy after shampooing and conditioning. I first towel dry my hair then apply the Elastine PropoliThera Hair Oil Serum, then the Biosilk Silk Therapy. And as you can see pictured, I also spritz in some Propoli Thera Volume Spray if I desire a little extra lift. For my picture above, I did not use the Volume Spray, only the 2 serums, for a sleeker look.

I used these products right before a recent trip, and they really kept my hair looking it’s best. I shampooed and fixed my hair the night before our trip and then set it with rollers the morning of, before we left. I had planned to shampoo and fix my hair again that evening, but was too tired by the time we got back to our hotel room after dinner and visiting a very fun hidden Speakeasy. 🙂 (I’ll show you some pics in my next blog post.) But anyway, the next morning I was expecting a possibly frizzy situation and having to shampoo and fix again before heading out to explore, but you what? My hair still looked really great. It was soft and silky, still had body, and my style still looked fresh. So, all I had to do was brush and go. That hardly ever happens since I’ve been growing my hair longer from my past pixie style. The combo of the Propoli Thera Hair Oil Serum made with beeswax, honey, and royal jelly, combined with the Biosilk Silk Therapy made with silk protein, really makes a difference. I was only using the PropoliThera Serum and it is wonderful, but once I began using it in conjunction with the Biosilk, it’s changed my hair game to one with even more positive results, and the Biosilk definitely puts the shine back in my hair. A definite added bonus. My silvers start shining as soon as I apply it.

Elastine Propoli Thera Hair Care

Thank you bees indeed! And thank you Avon, for bringing us such a fabulous hair care system. The Elastine Propoli Thera Hair Care Line is full of hair care products for every need, and all are made using products made by (and used by) bees.

The products you see pictured above are the ones that I currently use. The Propoli Thera Damage Repair Shampoo, Damage Repair Conditioner, Hair Oil Serum, and Volume Spray.

If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, then you may know that I’ve been growing out my hair from a very short undercut Pixie style. I am now 1 year into my grow out. I was using Dr. Groot Shampoo to help with my grow-out and it worked awesomely, and I am now in the managing the grown out natural gray hair stage. I had originally went with a very short hair style because of my thinning hair due to Menopause. I am now past that point and ready to try a longer style again, so there is my background story regarding all this for you. 🙂

My hair has thankfully grown out fuller than I thought it would (thank you Dr. Groot Thickening Shampoo), and I have been using the Propoli Hair Oil Serum and Volume Spray the entire time as well. I’ve added the Shampoo and Conditioner to my full time lineup after trying them (in travel size) in my Avon Travel Kit, plus also testing some salon shampoos and conditioners and seeing which products did a better job at giving me 1) smooth hair (gray hair has a different texture), 2) shiny hair (do not like dull silvers…, and 3) body (gotta have fullness and bounce!).

After testing for over a month, Propoli won out every time on all three counts, and my hair held up better the next day after shampooing and styling.

The Propoli line also has Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner, but since I tried the Damage Repair duo and liked it so much, I went with those as my choice. My hair is not damaged, but with gray hair, it can have that type of feel; kind of dry and frizzy, and since this ticks off the body and smoothness boxes, I am very happy with my results using the Damage Repair pair.

The Hair Oil Serum and Volume Spray have been total game changers throughout my 1 year hair grow-out experience and they were a necessity when my hair was short as well. As soon as I towel dry my hair, it wants to automatically go in freak-out frizz mode. Applying the Oil Serum is like magic. It calms my hair instantly and smooths the texture. I then spritz the Volume Spray all over at the roots and I’m ready to style. There is no sticky residue at all. I do go lightly with the Oil Serum. A little goes a long way. I’ve had the same bottle for over a year now and I still have about a 1/3 left, so it is a great investment for $15.99.

Undercut Pixie 5 Month Grow Out with a Lot of Help from Dr. Groot and Honey Bees

Hey everyone! How are you doing? I hope you said fabulous!

And who is Dr. Groot you ask? Well, “he” is a wonderful thickening shampoo that I’ve been using for about a month now, I’d say. This has really done wonders for my hair. As I’ve matured, my hair has become much thinner at the top, and with my going all natural (gray), my hair is a different texture as well (That’s where the Honey Bees come in). This set (Dr. Groot Hair Thickening Shampoo & Scalp Massager Brush) has helped my hair so much. My hair is feeling and looking much thicker at the top. I can’t see through it as much anymore, and it is styling fabulously just with blow-drying with a round brush. You can see the back of my hair is growing out pretty fast too. It was shaved at the back and along the sides. My sides have grown out to almost completely covering my ears, but I’ve been keeping those tucked behind my ears till they get a little longer.

The Dr. Groot Scalp Massager Brush feels so wonderful. I really enjoy shampooing with this. It is so relaxing, plus I think it is really stimulating my scalp to grow more hair. Here is a link to the complete Dr. Groot line.

Okay, so that is phase 1 for me. Growing out thicker hair. Phase 2, styling my thin hair. This is one of the main reasons I went short undercut pixie in the first place. My hair was thinning and looking flat and drab. Well…. now I have 2 new secret weapons for this purpose, and it is all thanks to those sweet and fabulous Honey Bees.

I love, love, love these 2. The Propoli Thera Hair Oil Serum, and the Propoli Thera Volume Spray. I wouldn’t even want to try to style my hair now without these 2.

This volumizing spray adds weightless volume and lustrous texture to thinning hair while leaving no residue. Pumps up volume to boost flat hair, and leaves your locks feeling soft and light as air.” Yes, yes, and yes!

The texture of my gray hair is automatically transformed as soon as I apply the Hair Oil Serum. My bangs are almost dry and kind of fuzzy when towel-dried, but as soon as I put a little pump of this serum in my hands, rub them together, and apply, my hair is much more luxurious. A little of this goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more if needed. I tend to use one pump amount (that’s a small pump, about a dime sized amount) to my bang and side areas, and then another small pump for my crown and back of my head.

I then follow that with spritzes of the Volume Spray. I concentrate most of it in my bang and top of my head areas, but I do apply a little to the back and sides.

Then I blow-dry my hair with a round brush and it is looking and feeling fabulous! No other styling tools needed at this point. I’ve actually just been styling it with my fingers. I used to (before my pixie cut) have to tease my hair to get any volume, but not any more. After blow-drying, I just kind of toss it around with my fingers, and there is volume and it stays! It truly is unbelievable, but you can see for yourself, my results.

I hope you give these wonderful hair products a try. I truly think you’ll be amazed. I know I am, and I am much more positive about growing my hair out again.

Looking for a solution for your thinning hair? I know I’ve been… Plus a very itchy scalp lately.

I know it’s all due to hormone changes plus heredity, but you know, my thinking is that there has to be something that can be done to help.

They came in right before I was headed to the shower, and they definitely came along with me. 🙂 I’ve used this system 3 times so far, so it’s a little early to give a full results report yet, but I looooove the Scalp Massager. It feels soooo good… And I can say, that I am already experiencing less itchiness, thank goodness. I’ve tried a lot of different products to relieve my scalp itchiness and nothing has worked thus far, but this shampoo is giving me hope. I’ve not been awakened from my slumber to scratch my head since using this. I know this may be a bit TMI, but hey, if I’m going through this as part of the change in life, I’m sure there may be others of you who may be seeking relief as well, so I do what I can to share and perhaps help a fellow menopauser (or just someone with dry scalp or thinning hair) out.
