Are you ready to get back to basics? Skin care basics, that is. And that’s where it’s at. We have to begin with a great basic routine to help keep our skin looking and feeling it’s very best.
I thought I’d share with you again some my very favorite basic (but oh so important) skin care must-haves that I use every day, and these of course, are from my favorite beauty company, Avon.
I’ll begin with my favorite Avon beauty bar soap, called Veilment Care Moisturizing Bar Soap. I call this one of my very affordable luxuries, and I do use this every single day. It is a plant based cleanser made with olive oil and infused with coconut oil. Those are my 2 favorite oils as well. This beauty bar smells so beautiful. I just love it when I open up the inside packaging. It has a light comforting coconut aroma. This seems to be the only bar soap that my skin can tolerate these days. I’ve mentioned to you all before that as I’ve been going through menopause, my skin has been getting dryer and much more sensitive. I was using ordinary sensitive skin cleansers before I found this beauty. It feels so good on my skin and does not cause any burning or irritation. My skin really loves this and so do I. $1.99 per bar.
Now for my favorite must-have body lotion.
Avon’s Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing & Repair Extra Strength Cream is my go-to-every-day-moisturizing cream. This is made using hydraboost technology and protects skin for 24 hours. This wonderful cream reduces dryness and itchiness, and can also soothe chapped skin. This is perfect for sensitive skin people (like me) with extra dry skin. This is fragrance free and hypoallergenic. It has a really nice thick cream feel and smooths into my skin very nicely with no slippery residue. It’s just perfectly moisturizing and very gentle. Again, a very affordable luxury skin care product, at $4.79 per jar in my Avon store.
And for my next must-have skin care favorites, we’re going foot and hand creams.
With my skin becoming more and more dry and sensitive, it seems my feet and hands are in need of even more and more constant and deep moisturizing. I keep these lotions near at all times. These have become and absolute necessity instead of an occasional luxury for sure.
Avon has quite an impressive foot care line-up, and I will link you there, but I will testify to my 2 favorites, Avon Foot Works Intensive Moisture Foot Cream, and Avon Foot Works Cracked Heel Cream. I use them both. I mainly use the Intensive Moisture Foot Cream daily (blue tube), but I keep the Cracked Heel Cream on hand to use when my skin may be actually hurting, as it contains an analgesic and an antiseptic. I sometimes use this on other parts of my body that may be extra dry so that if I scratch and irritate my skin, I may need a little pain relief and also to make sure all is okay. It helps calm that itchy feeling and soothes my skin to where I no longer feel the need to scratch. These 2 are both a true blessing.
For my dear hands (that I now have to keep moisturized all the time…), my very favorite hand lotion is Avon’s Daily Defense Hand Cream. I think it must be everyone’s favorite, as there is now a Wait List to be able to order. I am definitely on the Wait List. Thankfully I have 1 brand new tube that I just now opened, so finger’s crossed it’s available again very soon. But yeah, I make sure to order at least 2 of these at a time so that I do not run out. I use this night and day and keep them handy. This lotion smooths into my hands very quickly and easily and does not leave them feeling slippery, so that I can continue on with my work or whatever I’m doing with no wait time. This contains vitamins A, C, E, and B5 for daily skin health. $2.69 per tube.
