Hello! And happy April everyone!
You all most likely know by now that Avon is there for you with personal care items that you can shop for online and have delivered direct. So with that, I thought I’d go in a more fun direction with you today. Even though we may be in temporary lock-down, that doesn’t mean that we cannot still enjoy goodies that brighten our days and gives us hope for tomorrow’s celebrations and get-togethers.
With it looking like Easter may be in the tank this year (hoping not), I am choosing to look ahead to May and Mother’s Day. And as I wrote to you the other day, my Anniversary is coming up in May, so yeah, May is where my focus is on at the moment for planning to go out and celebrate life and family. That is unless something else has changed since I began this post. Everything changes so quickly these days it’s hard to keep up sometimes. But anyway… That was a long round-about to get to the new stuff that was just released by Avon…
So without further ado – Introducing Avon’s newest fragrance, Avon Flourish Peony Rose!
The essence of lush, glistening blooms in the early morning light, this fresh composition of watery florals shines with notes of dewy peony petals, pink currant and sheer musk.
This fragrance smells soooo good. You of course get the floral at first whiff, then there is a freshness, and an undertone of slight sweetness. It’s really beautiful. It’s not too heavy on the rose notes, and not too much for my sensitive nose. It does not smell “old-fashiony” in the least bit – it’s rather bright and fresh I would say. I will definitely wear this. No weird after-notes of any kind. I’m typing this review as I am trying it on and experiencing the first notes right from the bottle, then first applied to my skin, and then the transformation of the fragrance notes as it sits upon my skin. It just seems to get prettier, and a bit softer. And you know – I do get the water notes. That’s the fresh smell I was picking up. Avon’s description says “glistening blooms in the early morning light” and “watery florals” “dewy peony” – Yes – definitely! I get the fresh water notes for sure! And the pink currant must be the sweetness in the background that I’m picking up. It’s so cool – Their description is right on, and I am experiencing every note that they describe. They do mention sheer musk, so that must be the note that ties it all together beautifully into one cohesive and enjoyable aroma. Yay! A new favorite fragrance and perfume!

Okay — So I told you that there are new Mother’s Day gifts that launched with this new Campaign 9, right? Well, one product in particular caught my eye, so I made sure to order one to show you.
This is called Blushing Beauty Powder Blush. Look how cute this is!
It’s blush that comes in a little cardboard type container and it has its own little powder puff!
This is so retro you do not even know!
I had a similar little container of powder. It wasn’t mine though. It had belonged to my Great Grandmother. It was larger than this one, very similar, but it was face powder. It had been given to her by my Great Uncle and he had handwritten a note to her from him on the little container. This reminded me of that as soon as I saw it.
It’s so cute – it fits in the palm of your hand.
I bet your Mom would get a kick out of one of these too. She may remember her Grandmother using beauty products similar to this as well. Avon is so cool to make these memorable products that bring back great memories that warms our hearts – especially now – it means so much.
