GRWM – Purple Temptress Makeup Look

I believe I’ve found my new favorite eyeshadow palette.

Hey everyone! How are you doing today? I hope fabulously!

I’m very excited to share my latest Avon makeup finds with you. I really love pinks, purples, and plums. How about you?

I’ve been having so much fun trying out Avon’s new line of eyeshadows called fmg Glimmer Eyeshadows. They come in color curated quads. This is my third one to try, and it’s called Temptress – Rrrarrr….

Along with this new eyeshadow palette, I decided to also try one of Avon’s new VDL Expert Color Primers and a new shade of fmg Glimmer Satin Lipstick.

First up, the VDL Expert Color Primer:

Trying Avon's new VDL Expert Color Primer for Eyes, in Shimmer.

I usually use my foundation as an eyeshadow primer, and it works really well, but since I’ve been wanting to achieve a brighter shimmery look with the new Glimmer Eyeshadow Palettes (they also have mattes and satins in some of them), I was really excited to try one of the new VDL Expert Color Primers. Avon has three versions for whatever type of look you’re going for. There is the Original version, the Serenity version, and the Shimmer version. I bet you can guess which one I opted for. 🙂 Shimmer of course!

Here is a brief description of what each version is used for:

A SHADE FOR EVERY LOOK
• Shimmer – Great alone or to give your shadow extra oomph.
• Serenity – Great for matte shadows or to brighten dull eyes.
• Original – Great for your everyday basic makeup routine.

It only takes a small amount. I dabbed a bit on my eyelids with the wand (I worked on each eye separately), then used my finger to smooth it across my lid and up towards my crease area. I didn’t go all the way up to my brows. You can cover your entire eye area if you wish, I only wanted the shimmer about 2/3’s the way up. I let it dry for a couple of minutes and then I was ready to apply eyeshadow. It sets in place very well. I photographed myself (above pic) with one eye primed and one without. Hopefully you can see the difference. It gives a slight tint with a shimmery finish. I really like it! My shimmery eyeshadow shades go on much easier, the colors pop very well, and they blend wonderfully. It’s thanks to the quality of the new eyeshadow palettes too, but after trying two of the fmg Glimmer Eyeshadow Palettes previously, I can tell that the shimmers go on much better using the primer.

And here is the finished look using the VDL Expert Color Primer for Eyes in Shimmer + fmg Glimmer Eyeshadow Quad in Temptress + fmg Glimmer Sating Lipstick in Wildrose.

(All makeup products used in this look are Avon. If you peruse my Tips and Tricks Category, you will find more of my favorite Avon makeup and skin care products. )

I hope you’ll give your favorite fmg Glimmer Eyeshadow Palette a try. There are 10 combos to choose from. They are listed for $11.99 on my Avon website. I also hope you’ll give the VDL Primers a try, especially if you’re going for a shimmery eyeshadow look like me, or if you’d like to brighten your eyes. And of course don’t forget the 20 gorgeous new shades of lipsticks in the fmg Glimmer Satin line.

So much fabulousness to help us look and feel our very best.

Till next time, remember to always follow your joy!

Get Ready with Me, Purple Temptress Makeup Look

Pretty in Purples and Pink

Hey there! I couldn’t wait to show you my latest Avon haul! I am in love with this new Temptress Eyeshadow Quad from the Avon fmg Glimmer Eyeshadow Curated Color Collection. The colors are soooo gorgeous! My pictures do not even do this Quad justice. I’m so excited to try it.

I’m also excited to show you one of Avon’s new VDL Expert Color Primers for Eyes. There are 3 versions: Original, Serenity, and Shimmer.

BENEFITS
• Preps lids for smoother eyeshadow and eye liner application
• Enhances shadow shades for a more vibrant, brighter result
• Infused with skin-caring Tahitian black pearl powder

A SHADE FOR EVERY LOOK
• Shimmer – Great alone or to give your shadow extra oomph.
• Serenity – Great for matte shadows or to brighten dull eyes.
• Original – Great for your everyday basic makeup routine.

I chose Shimmer. I love a shimmery look (yes, even at my age! We’re as young as we feel, right?) I have given this a quick try and it really does make the shimmer eyeshadows go on easier and brighter. I’ll be doing a demo photoshoot soon giving these an “official” try. I just couldn’t wait to try the primer though. AND — I also paired this with another new Glimmer Satin Lipstick in Wildrose, for a completely purpley, pink, plum look. I’m really looking forward to putting this all together. I think these colors are going to be perfect for my Summer into Fall makeup looks. I can see this palette being worn lightly or dramatically. The lipstick can also go from light to drama with the addition of lipliner and/or a darker under color lipstick. I love layering makeup to achieve different looks with every shade.

Okay, gang, I am off for now. I hope you all enjoy a FABULOUS 4th of July holiday weekend. I’ll be back next week to give these beauties and try, and see what kind of look I can come up with to show you.

Till then, stay fabulous and follow your joy – always!
