Pretty Food, Naan Pizza with Fresh Spinach

Hey everyone! How are you? Are you all ready for Christmas? I juuuust about am!

I thought I’d share some yumminess with you today. Do you love home cooking? Well, I am an avid home cook, and I really enjoy making fun, easy, and nutritious foods that I call “Pretty Food”. I’ve called pretty food “Pretty Food” for many years now and it is my reference to foods that look really pretty, taste really pretty, and help keep us really pretty (inside and out). How awesome is food like that?

To me, food is the main and basic building block to beauty. Eating foods that help keep us looking and feeling great is very important. So, I’ve decided to add a new category here on my beauty blog, called, (what else…) Pretty Food! Yay! I’ll share with you some of my favorite home cooked goodies that definitely check all the boxes required for me to call it a Pretty Food. 🙂

I like to take some of our (Hubby and my) all-time favorites and give them a bit of a healthier twist. To me, eating healthy (er) doesn’t mean having to eat bland food. Not in the least. I still want my taste buds to jump for joy while my body is very happy to receive what I am gifting it.

So… first up, is a little Naan pizza with fresh spinach that I put together for us to enjoy. I love making Naan pizzas. They are so fun, so fast, and they can be really nutritious.

For this one I used extra virgin olive oil to coat the top of the garlic Naan bread. I then sprinkled a little garlic powder on top of that – I know, a lot of garlic since I began with a garlic Naan bread, but that’s how we roll over here. 🙂 I then used a tri-blend of shredded hard Italian cheeses. My favorite consists of Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago cheeses. On top of that I added some diced Canadian bacon, sliced Campari tomatoes, and some fresh spinach. I then sprinkled all that with a bit more cheese. This time an Italian shredded cheese blend with softer cheeses, including Mozzarella, to top it off.

Baked it on 350 till it was melty, and it was done! Easy-Peasy!

I added a fresh greens salad mix drizzled with our favorite Italian dressing, and dinner was done. Look how pretty, with all the bright green and red. I thought it turned out quite festive, actually, for a great holiday-time quick and easy meal, and boy, was it delicious! I’ll definitely be making these again very soon.

I hope you enjoyed my first installment for the new Pretty Food Category, and I look forward to sharing much more with you.

Till next time, stay fabulous and follow your joy!
